Character Information
Name: Misaki Yata
Canon: K Project
Canon Point: Fighting Sukuna Gojo with Fushimi at the end of Return of Kings
Age: 20
History: Yata's Wiki
Personality:
- Yata is one of the youngest members in HOMRA and also pretty immature at times, although since Anna became the new Red King, he's worked very hard to be more mature and responsible so he can be someone for her to rely on. As such, he's started putting more thought into his actions and words and even occasionally considers the consequences of them before sticking his foot in it. He is still very much a work in progress though and his flaws sometimes far outweigh his good qualities, from certain points of view.
Through the series, he often shows himself as one of the hotheads of HOMRA, always ready and eager for a fight, often the one to rush off half-cocked and full of fire and passion at the drop of a hat. He is fiercely protective of his fellow members and anyone they consider under their protection and his pride at being a member of HOMRA and serving first Mikoto and later Anna as his King is one of his driving traits. He'll stand for no slight or insult towards them or his companions and even when he might be arguing or angry at one of his friends, he'll still be one of the first to back them up if they need it. He runs his mouth a lot (which often gets him in trouble) and has a short temper; he's rude and he's known to curse fluently and frequently. He is definitely very rough around the edges, but if you manage to win his loyalty and friendship, that goes a long way with him; he will do just about anything for you. Betray that trust, however, and he can hold a grudge like no one's business.
He's not all curses and violence, however. He functions on his own (occasionally nonsensical) code of honor and while he's more than willing to beat the shit out guys, he won't tolerate anyone being cruel or threatening to girls. Granted, he is really shy and awkward around girls himself and when faced with confronting one, his bravado and courage often dissolves into stuttering embarrassment instead. He's also shown in one section of the manga to be easily scared by things like ghosts. Unsurprisingly, he tends to react to things that make him uncomfortable, uneasy, or frightened with anger, usually vented at people around him he trusts that he knows can (and will) handle it instead. He's got a lot of insecurities (his short height being one of them) and doesn't handle being teased very well (which some people just take as encouragement to tease him more). When one of his fellow HOMRA members antagonizingly calls him a little chihuahua early on, the comparison isn't far off.
It's stated in the manga that he's one of the most powerful members in HOMRA, after Mikoto and Kusanagi and he's developed a fighting style that is wholly unique to match this, entwining his Red Aura into his skills with a skateboard and the violence he's capable of wielding. He shows no fear when it comes to a threat or a challenge that needs to be dealt with and he respects his fellow members and King deeply. They are his family, his home, and while they're a rowdy and occasionally a wild bunch he's found a place where he belongs there and he will do everything in his power to protect that. He takes the deaths of Totsuka and Mikoto very hard, crying openly after their loss and unashamed about it. And while he might openly (and loudly) deny it, the betrayal of Fushimi leaving HOMRA and joining the Blues instead was something that cut him deeply, a betrayal that he took more personally than any of the rest did, especially because for the longest time he couldn't understand it at all. That bitterness is behind a lot of the anger and hostility he shows for the Blues and his distrust of the other Clans he displays through much of the series.
Abilities:
- [From his Wiki:]
-Red Aura: Being a member of HOMRA and said to have the most outstanding ability amongst the others, Yata possesses the Red Aura, which manifests itself in red or pink flames. He's able to generate his Aura from various parts of his body and even from his skateboard. When riding his skateboard in conjunction to using his Aura, it appears to ignite as sparks from the wheels. Other times, Yata's Aura takes on a fiery shroud over his body, or when angered, as a massive tornado-like fire formation.
-Enhanced Strength: Despite his smaller size compared to his fellow HOMRA members, Yata is actually quite strong. He is capable of pushing a billboard more than five times his size with relative ease despite it crushing him, using just one of his arms.
-Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Perhaps his most versatile form of combat, Yata commonly strikes at his opponents in a range of punches and kicks, often in synchronization with his skateboard and Aura. His fighting style utilizes elements that derive from breakdancing, skateboard stunts, and basic forms of martial arts.
-Weapon Specialist: Yata is proficient in wielding weapons in battle, particularly a baseball bat and a Bo staff.
-His Skateboard: As a means of transportation, Yata uses a black skateboard, which he additionally carries with him at all times. The skateboard is actually very durable, able to parry and block off a Saber without it snapping or being cut in half. On the skateboard's bottom half, right in the center of it, is the trademark flame-patterned insignia for HOMRA.

God/Shinki: Shinki
Why?: Because no one in their right mind would put Yata in charge of anything.
Cause Of Death: Killed by Sukuna Gojo while trying to rescue Fushimi from JUNGLE HQ.
Vessel:
- This would be an option that I'd like to discuss with his god, once Yata is assigned one? My primary idea is him turning into a skateboard (like he's often seen riding) that grants his god agility/speed and acts as a shield (which he often uses it as himself) allowing him both defensive and slight offensive capabilities, but if a skateboard is something unlikely to be used or mastered by his assigned god, I'm happy to change it to something more practical and useful. Secondary choice would be a pair of headphones that grant enhanced senses/Synesthesia (translating enhanced sensory input into an image of the surrounding area for the god, as Yata often acts as lookout for his gang).
Name Location: On his right collarbone, a mirror to where his HOMRA brand is on the left.
Power: Please see the explanation under the Vessel section.

Anything Else?: No specific god requests because I haven't spoken to anyone about arranging this ahead of time. I think in order of preference it would be A) his King, if that's happening, B) a girl, so the playing off his awkwardness with them (and especially being handled by one) could be a fun point or C) (and most importantly) someone capable of playing off of or rolling with his attitude, since he is very much a handful and will continue to be one even without his memories.
Notable items he would have on him at the time of his death: His skateboard, his headphones, a red marble, a wristwatch that also doubles as a cellphone/means of communication, and the Metal Rod he was fighting Sukuna Gojo with.
